Ritchie Trucking Service Holdings LLC

This is a Full-time position in Fresno, CA posted June 10, 2021.


Reports to: Executive Controller

Position Summary: This position is responsible for both accounting department staff management as well as vendor and customer relations for Ritchie Trucking Service (Ritchie). The Controller is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of Ritchie financial statements and will work with CPA firm directly related to quarterly reviews. The Controller will also assist in the completion of other critical tasks such as overseeing check runs and timely collections of receivables. This summary is not all encompassing and does not include every expectation of the Controller.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proper management of the staff in the accounting department, including monitoring employee time and attendance, scheduling, coaching and counseling, department meetings and quarterly feedback meetings.
  • Oversee the delegation and completion of CSP billing submissions and payment including summary information reporting to be made available to other company officers. This includes billings for services as well as fuel and POK.
  • Work directly with the supervisor to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions of both customers and vendors.
  • Oversee the AP staff which manages check disbursements, 1099’s and purchase order documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payments and utilize aging schedules. This includes both proper timeframe, classification and account recognition.
  • Ensure all monies paid are recorded correctly and presented accurately in all regulatory and financial reporting, to ensure proper reporting and analytics.
  • Maintain accounting controls by establishing and defining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Work with supervisor to ensure accurate allocation of shared expenses including insurance, management, and others.
  • Work with supervisor to identify areas for operational improvements within each business as it relates to expenses, cash monitoring and operational efficiencies.
  • Assist in processing various accounting reports for mileage, per delivery, and other analysis and calculations.
  • Work with supervisor to meet financial objectives by forecasting expenditures; preparing annual budgets; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

. Requirements:

Summary of Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s Degree with at least three years, minimum, of related work experience in a management position.

CPA or CMA license preferred, not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Communication, inter-personal skills, strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, multi-tasking skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines a must. A firm financial understanding with knowledge of budgeting, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows and internal controls.


Must be willing to travel to all business locations as the business needs may dictate. This is not anticipated to be frequent, but travel may be considered necessary on occasion, estimated to be once per year.
