Cost Accountant

Description:

This position will ensure information is accurately streamlined within departments and is responsible for tracking inventories, entering data into Excel and ERP systems, and monitoring process flow on the production floor. The information derived from this process will establish which products, departments, or services are most profitable and those that need improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Prepare, analyze, and report daily -annually manufacturing KPI’s

Assist and manage plant inventory, monthly counts and provide data entry of physical counts

Assist with fixed assets monitoring and accounting

Maintain and update bills or material in all production areas

Use data collection and time studies to provide labor costing break downs by item and/or process

Assist with the creation of direct and indirect standard costs by product for materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead

Review costs for accuracy

Assist with the continued implementation of ERP system

Track product yields

Complete special projects as needed

Assist with monthly financial accounting closes as needed

Complete ad-hoc reports as needed

Identify areas of improvement and establish new and or adjust existing procedures and practices

Assist with product mock recalls

Efficiently and effectively input daily data from Slicing, Peeling, Kitchen and Pack Off Departments

Create and update plant records on Microsoft Excel

Draft weekly progress reports
