Unlicensed Mental Health Clinician

Looking for Unlicensed Mental Health Clinicians who think outside the box.

Quality Counseling Center of Fresno is currently hiring for unlicensed mental health clinicians. Under the immediate supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor, the unlicensed mental health clinicians will receive training and clinical supervision (individual and group) in providing professional mental health services in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment through the use of triage screening, intake assessments, case management, individual, family, group therapy, and counseling sessions.

Unlicensed mental health clinicians must possess and maintain current and active state of California board of behavioral sciences registration as an associate clinical social worker, associate professional clinical counselor, or associate marriage and family therapist will receive supervise clinical experience required to qualify for licensure.

Quality Counseling Center prides itself and serving all members of our community. We are looking for unlicensed mental health clinicians that are working towards practicum, internship, and obtaining postgraduate hours towards licensure.

All supervisors are on site, allowing for immediate access to a supervisor who is eager to assist in any matters of practice and the development of your therapeutic skills. Supervisors provide group supervision with no more than six interns at a time. We offer one on one supervision, as well as immediate support throughout the day as supervisors have open door policy to assist all unlicensed clinicians.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Confer and consult with supervisor regarding progress in treatment and consult with our community collaboration network, as it relates to client?s needs.

  • Provides appropriate support to client?s family, including a collaborative approach to treatment planning, how to support the treatment and interventions to increase acceptance and inherent to treatment.

  • Utilizes the resources of public and private agencies and community organizations to meet the needs of the client?s treatment. Including referrals of the client and/or client?s family to external resources as needed.

  • Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies as required by law and the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

  • Develops, Implements, coordinates, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for the diagnosis, treatment, and/or referral of clients with acute or chronic mental illness.

  • Participates in weekly staff meetings and practice development/growth projects.
