Overview: Grow your career with Adecco Group North America, the worlds leading provider of recruiting and career services.The Sales & Use Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing North American state and local, sales and use and/or value-added tax (VAT) returns.

Conducts standard to moderately complex supporting analyses and assists with a variety of tax audits.

Responsibilities: GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyzes current tax liabilities and prepares North American state and local, sales and use, and/or VAT returns and estimated payment calculations for monthly, quarterly and annual filings; may prepare and/or assist with the preparation of international filings.Performs standard to moderately complex tax savings analyses and assists with minimizing taxes by proper application of tax exemptions, claims, credits, abatements and other tax favorable methods.Researches various topics related to filings and projects and communicates information with team members and management.Fields straight forward to moderately complex inquiries from internal and/or external business partners and clients; escalates to more experienced team members and/or management as necessary.Stays abreast of leading trends as well as maintains knowledge of and compliance with current laws, rules and regulations related to taxes and their impact on the organization.Interfaces with internal business partners to ensure a unified approach to tax analysis and reporting is maintained.May recommend enhancements to processes, policies, procedures and best practices.May assist with the coordination of and/or coordinate compliance, including, but not limited to, preparing/submitting/paying for new and renewal applications.May assist with audits by gathering data, performing standard to moderately complex analyses and sharing findings with management and business partners.May conduct in-depth analyses and reporting related to mergers, acquisitions, and/or divestitures.Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field with one (1) to three (3) year of related tax accounting/analytical experience; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.COMPETENCIES:Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment.Ability to function effectively with or as part of a team.Ability to identify complex problems, analyze information and develop and/or recommend solutions.Ability to develop, improve and/or streamline processes to meet established goals and objectives.Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Knowledge of or the ability to interpret and apply tax-related federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, such as Internal Controls.Knowledge of or the ability to utilize financial reporting and tax accounting systems and tools, such as Oracle, RIA Checkpoint and CORPSales.Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.COMPANY OVERVIEW:Adecco Group North America, through an impressive portfolio of staffing industry leading brands including Accounting Principals, Adecco General Staffing, Adia, Ajilon, Entegee, Lee Hecht Harrison, Modis, Paladin, ParkerLynch, Pontoon, Special Counsel and Soliant is the worlds leading provider of Human Resources solutions.
