Clever Real Estate

This is a Full-time position in Fresno, CA posted June 19, 2021.

Clever is building a better way to buy and sell real estate with a platform that educates hundreds of thousands of homeowners and buyers every month. 

Clever was founded 4 years ago, and we’ve already facilitated over 2 billion dollars in real estate transactions. 

We’ve grown our network to include over 10,000 real estate agents around the country that will list homes for a flat fee of $3,000 or 1% depending on the home value. In states where it’s allowed, our partner agents will provide a commission rebate for buyers. On average, sellers save over $9,000 when they use Clever.

For top real estate agents, Clever provides a constant stream of qualified buyers and sellers. We save agents thousands on marketing costs and let them focus on what they do best ? helping their clients buy and sell homes.

As Clever continues to grow, we?re looking for customer-centric salespeople to join our inside sales team in St. Louis. We’re a small team, and every month we speak to thousands of homeowners looking to buy or sell a home, and agents that are excited to work with them.

Our sales team is the voice for our brand for both consumers and agents, and we present ourselves as a knowledgeable, passionate, and caring team that is looking out for the best interests of those that we serve. 


We are looking for a licensed agent to join our inside sales team. Our team focuses on cross-training, and you would learn how to:

  • Speak with and educate buyers and sellers about our service, and match them with great agents
  • Follow up with agents and customers to make sure things are going well
  • Recruit new agents to join our network

You would focus primarily on one of these areas, most likely speaking with buyers and sellers, but would be able to flex into other roles to help the team as needed.

  • Attend daily training sessions with the team to make sure you’re successful
  • Attend onboarding where you?ll learn about all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, and engineering while getting to meet your new team members. 
  • Gain a clear understanding of Clever?s business model, and build a mental map of the types of readers who find Clever online. 
  • Get experience in all of the different roles on the sales team
  • Attend weekly 1:1s with a mentor to support your growth


  • Have settled in as a performing member of the team
  • Have a vast knowledge of real estate
  • Be able to watch how your customers are performing, and improving month over month
  • Be involved in our planning process for new sales improvements
  • Have learned about Sales EQ how to apply it to your conversations 


  • Be fully involved in our 6-week planning process
  • Work with our development team to report bugs and test new changes
  • Have the option to help plan team training
  • Have built lasting relationships with team members at clever (sales team and beyond)


  • Be an expert on the entire sales process at Clever and have the opportunity to switch roles
  • Have the opportunity to help train new hires 
  • Help mentor new team members
  • Be a real estate and investing expert


The base salary for this position is $47.5k. Our commission plan is team-based with on-target earnings of $80k (range: $70k – $110k).


This teammate would work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day, with the exact hours TBD. Flexibility in scheduling is offered to teammates who stay with the firm for an extended period of time.
