Will also partner with Sales for new business needs. The typical group size is 5,000 eligible or enrolled subscribers. Exhibits senior level sales competencies as defined by the business unit. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: + Defines and oversees the execution of account management growth and profitable retention strategy for a defined book of accounts. + Identifies and/or creates opportunities for additional sales via product and/or marketplace expansion.+ Uses analytics and other information to demonstrate superior ability to uncover client challenges.+ Supports pursuit of new business opportunities either directly with a broker/consultant or potential client or through a team approach with field office sales staff. + Responsible for growing Specialty Business within existing accounts. Provides support for field sales staff with RFP responses, proposals, client presentations, and underwriting coordination on new business sales opportunities.+ Develops business relationships with brokers, consultants, and key decision-makers to meet or exceed new and renewal sales targets.+ Manages the annual renewal process for accounts, including underwriting negotiation, preparation of renewal analysis, and client presentations. + Coordinates and controls new business implementation activities. Trains/mentors lower level Account Management staff. + Identifies competitive situations within assigned accounts or group markets, analyzes information, and develops proposals and execution plans for management. + Superior verbal/written communication and presentation skills.+ Strong leadership qualities with demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and to influence internal and external decision-makers.+ High-level critical thinking and strategic thought leadership skills required.+ Superior results in prior experience in sales, retention, service, and/or financial results. + Broad business acumen.+ Works directly with Sales Account Representatives / Account Service Representatives to assure that all aspects of account service run smoothly. Qualifications + Requires a BA/BS; 5 years of experience in account management or sales; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.+ Sales license required where necessary.+ Manage Health Care, Broker, or Employee Benefits/ consulting experience highly preferredApplicable to Colorado Applicants OnlyAnnual Salary Range*: $102,312 – $127,890 Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. * The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
