Bring resume, current mvr, medical certificate, and drivers license.• Dispatch time is between 3:00pm – 5:00pm• 1 year food or beverage experience preferred• At least 1-year CDL driving preferred• no more than 20,000lbs per nightRESPONSIBILITIESA Southwest Traders delivery driver must be able to execute dispatch assignments, fulfill customer expectations and adhere to specific delivery procedures in accordance to company policy. The driver will be responsible for delivering a variety of products to accounts within a designated area. Multiple stops are required throughout the day that requires frequent exits and entry to and from the truck cab to conduct manual unloading of products. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:· Unloading and delivery of frozen, chilled and dry food products to customer locations within assigned route· Stock and or place products on customers’ shelves or another designed location when applicable· Resolve service complaints when able, returns product to warehouse and maintain effective communication with transportation supervisors, management· Organize end-of-day paperwork for office administration· Perform Pre & Post trip inspections and maintain proper cold environment within delivery trailer· Documents all returns at end of day, to ensure the product is sent back out immediately to achieve excellent customer supportESSENTIAL DUTIESThe following is a list of duties that are essential to the Southwest Traders Delivery Driver position and employees must be capable of performing them at all times.· Must be able to execute basic and advanced driving methods in accordance to the type of equipment used by Southwest Traders and in compliance of all DOT regulations· Must be able to perform all delivery functions including:o Deciphering invoices, unloading the correct amount of products and delivering the items into store locationso Use of a two-wheel hand carto Use of a trailer lift gateo Use of a trailer rampo Capable of easily recognizing customer productso Legibly and correctly completing necessary paperworko Performing a daily delivery route routine while following specific customer guidelines for delivery methodso Communicating with various customers and providing exceptional customer serviceo Must be able to maintain minimum company standards in regard to through put, error percentage and on time deliveryo The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, local area maps, driver handbook, invoiceso Must be able to perform Pre / Post trip inspections on a regular and ongoing basiso Must be capable and available to consistently complete the entire route which will require you to work the maximum on duty hours allowed by the DOT.o Performing the required job duties on a daily basis while working under the conditions listed below (see Working Conditions)WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS· Have at least 1 year tractor trailer, route driving experience (preferably delivering food and or beverage products)· Must have a clean 3 month MVR and be knowledgeable of all federal and state regulations as applicable to the DOT· Must have excellent customer service experience and strong verbal and written communication skills· Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when needed· Must possess basic math skills· Must be self motivated· Must pass pre-employment drug test· Current Class A driver license, copy of medical card and copy of current DMV printoutEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma and a minimum of one year Class “A” driving experience (preferably with food delivery & route driving experience)WORKING CONDITIONSLong hours spent driving, walking, bending, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing and pulling heavy items on a cart both up and down ramps, stairs, service elevators, etc. Climbing in and out of a large commercial vehicle repeatedly throughout the day. Exposure to adverse climate conditions (hot, cold and wet).
