The Client Manager is responsible to develop new and deepen existing business banking relationships through selling merchant payment processing (including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, electronic check acceptance, gift cards, etc.) and the corresponding hardware and software to high potential customers. The individual leader will collaborate and partner closely with the ISO partners to integrate and develop comprehensive strategies to attract new banking client relationships in this sector. This position requires a high degree of integrity, professionalism, excellent communication and time management skills as well as the acumen to plan and achieve aggressive financial goals. 

• Self-source new merchant sales opportunities and partner with bank personnel to meet the needs of new and existing clients.

• Develop relationships with ISO partners to cross-sell high value banking solutions to help meet their clients’ needs.

• Act as a principal point of contact to external ISO partners, and as the primary contact for large corporate clients.

• Together with your supervisor, develop strategic sales objectives and report results on a monthly basis.

• Provide direct, high touch support & service to customers as it relates to the merchant services product.

• Establish and maintain relationships with customers, businesses, civic and service organizations to promote goodwill and develop new business; installation and integration of equipment, as well as ongoing support of existing merchants to promote client retention. 

• Develop implementation plans and coordinate installation and training of services between client and bank departments. 

• Work closely with Relationship Managers, Loan Officers and other business development staff to promote the merchant services products. 

• Network with outside referral sources and current customer base for additional referrals, and work with bank partners to generate referral sources for sales opportunities. 

• Ensure completion of any required paperwork for new customers. 

• Analyze merchant statements, develop proposals in our proprietary format and deliver formal presentations to prospective merchants. 

• Be familiar with the market area demographics and competition

• Participate in various bank and community functions and activities to promote the bank’s positive image and the Merchant Services department. 

• Understand and support bank philosophy, personnel policies, products, and campaigns to staff and public. 

• Maintain a thorough understanding of bank procedures and all banking regulations (such as Reg CC, Bank Secrecy Act, Reg E, Consumer Protection Regulations, etc.) as they pertain to the performance of your job
