Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift (ATFN)

This is a Contract position in Fresno, CA posted September 14, 2021.

With a commitment to excellence and innovation, all our products are cooked with our customers in mind, providing healthy and delicious meals for all.The swing shift Production Supervisor will be overseeing all activities in the packaging area of the production line.

Production performance and planning, safety, employee coaching, monitoring, and upholding GMP standards are just some of the things expected from this position.

Supervisory responsibility for 40-50 employees through 3 direct-reporting Production Leads.This is a salaried position.

The schedule is typically Monday
– Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Start time is 2:00pm and shifts typically last for 10 hours.Benefits Include (medical benefits start first day of employment)Medical (Anthem Blue Cross)Dental (Cigna)Vision (EyeMed)ADLife Insurance401(k) with employer match (fully-vested day 1 of plan eligibility through Fidelity)120 hours of front-loaded PTO, 200 max per year Responsibilities: Production PerformanceEnsure on-time startup and shut down.Ensure the inventory control verification process is followed.Schedule daily staffing requirements based on the budget per product.Assign employees production requirements daily to ensure employees know exactly what their job responsibilities are each day.Responsible for maintaining and updating visual training documents for production line.Work with Production Manager to identify staffing needs, address operational issues for continuous improvement, and assist with the implementation of operational standards or processes.Responsible for accurate completion of required production and FSQA documents the day of production.Reduce and/or eliminate the amount of finished product rework/rejects by adhering to FSQA policies and procedures.Follow GMP and HACCP program standards as outlined.Train and enforce best practices throughout the line and facility.Production Planning and UtilizationMeet daily production of budgeted targets.Conduct JSA training on an employees first day of work for any area the employee may be working in.Ensure training completed for all new employees, temp-to-hires, day laborers, and for newly promoted employees.

Assign a mentor to support and educate new operators in training.

Conduct 90-day performance reviews with all newly hired employees.Continually monitor performance of all employees.Production Processing
– SafetyPractice and apply safe working principles, creating awareness for all employees on the production line.Identify, reduce, or eliminate the potential risks and hazards of accidents and safety related incidents.Conduct 5-minute Daily Huddle meetings to discuss safety topics.Perform safety observations on production practices.

Make recommendations to safety committee and/or initiate safety related activities as appropriate to support and maintain the objective of zero accidents per year.Complete Basic Safe incident report within established time line as defined.Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for all safety related incidents within established time line as defined.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university preferred; or at least two years directly related food manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group managers, clients, customers, and the general public.HACCP certificationPreferred Qualifications:Fork Lift certificationFirst Aid/CPR certificationBilingual in Vietnamese
